Lycris-Byrne bottle heaters are an alternative means of heating
water in copper cylinders, and should be fitted externally to same.
The cold water feed for the bottle heater is drawn from the bottom
of the copper cylinder and as the water is heated* it is passed
into the top of the cylinder. As a result, hot water may be drawn
from the copper cylinder and the bottle heater simultaneously when
a hot tap is turned on.
* All Lycris-Byrne bottle heaters are
fitted with a 2.5 Kilowatt immersion heater.
Heat Exchangers and Heat Exchange Kits
Heat exchangers and Heat exchanger kits are fitted
externally to copper cylinders in a similar manner to bottle heaters,
except that the heat is not self generated, but derived from an
outside source such as an oil boiler or a gas boiler.
