Customised Pre-plumbed Solar Combination Units

Lycris-Byrne Pre-plumbed Solar Combination Hot and Cold water storage units are ideal for apartments and town houses that are heated primarily by electricity. Major energy savings can be made by utilising communal solar panels, which may be on complex roofs or within communal grounds. The output from these solar panels may be piped to the solar coil in the Pre-plumbed Solar Combination Unit.

Delivery to the outgoing hot and cold supplies may be by gravity feed or pump.

IMPORTANT:-
Electric Immersion Heaters may require further tightening prior to energising and testing. The entire Combination Unit must be filled with water before the Immersion Heaters are energised. The Immersion Heaters are fitted with a high limit safety cut-out.

These units are available as standard in the following sizes:-
(a) 55 gallon cold water storage & 45 gallon hot water storage
(b) 65 gallon cold water storage & 55 gallon hot water storage
Outside dimensions of unit: (excluding pipe-work and including insulation)
(a) Diameter: 580 mm - Height: 2100 mm.
(b) Diameter: 685 mm - Height: 2100 mm.

Insulation The external insulation complies with “Part L” of the British Building regulations 2002.

1 Water Mains to Storage Tank: 1/2" B.S.P.
2 Separate Cold Water Feed to Cistern from Storage Tank: 3/4" B.S.P.
3 Pressurised Cold Water Supply from Cylinder (through pump): 3/4" B.S.P.
4 Pressurised Hot Water Supply from Cylinder (through pump): 3/4" B.S.P.
5 Separate Hot Water Supply from Cylinder (High Flow) 3/4" B.S.P.
6 Solar Heating Coil (x2): 1" B.S.P
7 Drain Off - fitted at bottom of cylinder 1/2" B.S.P
8 Provision for Probe Thermostat 1/2" B.S.P
