Dual Coil or Twin Coil Cylinders
The Lycris-Byrne range of Solar Dual Coil Stainless Steel Cylinders, complete with 1" Cold Feed, 1" Expansion and 1" coils, may be used in all dual indirect heating systems. These cylinders are particularly suitable for use with solar panels, heat pumps or wind turbines in ‘open vent’ installations or in closed systems.
When installed in a closed (pressurised) system suitable expansion vessel, control valves and safety valves must be used.
- There are two 1/2" ports giving provision for a probe thermostats.
- The 150 litre cylinder is complete with one 3kW electric immersion heater -*the 150 litre cylinder does not have the second 1 & 3/4" port.
- The 210 litre cylinder has a second 1 & 3/4" port for an optional extra 3kW electric heater.
- The 250 and 300 litre cylinders are fitted with two 3kW electric immersion heaters.
- The cold feed, expansion/hot water take-off and the coil flow and return are 1" female fittings.
- The external insulation complies with “Part L” of the Irish Building Regulations (Amendment) 2007.

IMPORTANT:-
Electric Immersion Heaters may require further tightening prior to energising and testing. Cylinders must be filled with water before the Immersion Heaters are energised. Electric Immersion Heaters are fitted with a high limit safety cut-out.
